Important Notice Regarding Math Requirement: 
Effective January 1, 2027, the minimum math prerequisite for program admission will be MATH 1530 or higher. If you have completed a different college-level math course in the past and are unsure whether it meets the new requirement, please contact us. We will be happy to review your coursework and provide guidance.

RT instructor demonstrating a radiology scanºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv interested in one of ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv State Community College's Health Sciences programs must follow the A.S. in Health Sciences curriculum. You must contact an advisor in your preferred area of emphasis to identify appropriate general education and elective courses for admission into your selected program. For more information about specific program deadlines and requirements, please refer to the program's information packet.

ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉútv interested in the radiologic technology program will declare Health Sciences as their major and should follow the recommended schedule of courses. Once formally admitted into the program, the major will be changed to Radiologic Technology.

Information Sessions

Potential applicants are encouraged to attend an information session. Information sessions will provide applicants with information regarding program details, class schedules, application procedures, enrollment requirements, and acceptance policies. Reservations are NOT necessary to attend these meetings.

The information session will take place in the Radiology classroom located in the Wallace Health Sciences Building - North. Room 114.

The dates for the sessions are as follows:

  • (Cancelled) September 26 @ 10:00 a.m.
  • October 24 @ 10:00 a.m.
  • November 21 @ 10:00 a.m.

Clinical Hours

Program faculty will determine clinical site assignments. Clinical sites are located throughout middle Tennessee up to 100 miles from the Gallatin Campus. Each student is responsible for their own transportation to classes and to the assigned clinical sites.

Fall and Spring clinical hours alternate with the classroom schedule Monday through Friday. Clinical hours are typically 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The summer between the first and second year consists of 32 clinical hours per week. Clinical hours are typically 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
